Lauren Salani, LCSW, BCB has always been interested in health and the mind/body connection from the days of cross-country jogging while monitoring her heart rate to "stay in the zone." She received a B.A. in Psychology from Montclair State University, Cum Laude, with an interest in the relationship between exercise and self-esteem, a Masters of Social Work from Rutgers University, Member of the Phi Alpha Society. She focused study on trauma research and completed two internships with CPC Behavioral Healthcare in the mental illness and addiction and recovery facilities. She provided individual and group therapy for wellness and optimal functioning. She is currently licensed as a LCSW, a Member of the National Association of Social Workers (NASW) and she provides treatment for stress, pain, chronic illness and relationship issues.
Lauren has also received training in biofeedback therapy which she finds to be a valuable part of her wellness and psychotherapy services. She is Board Certified with the Biofeedback Certification International Alliance (BCIA), a Member of the Association for Applied Psychophysiology and Biofeedback (AAPB) and the Northeast Regional Biofeedback Society (NRBS).
Lauren is a Senior Fellow of the BCIA with many years of experience working in a medical office. She has had the honor of helping many people make changes toward a health and wellness. She enjoys her family, research in her field, nature, cross country runs, piano, tennis, skiing, tai chi, indy films and having many warm and rewarding relationships.
